Nasif Estéfano was an Argentinian racing talent with proud Lebanese roots, a driver whose passion for speed carried him from his hometown of Concepción in Tucumán onto the global stage.

He made two appearances in World Championship Formula One Grand Prix, first taking the grid on 7 February 1960. Though he never managed to secure championship points, his stubbornness kept him in the hunt, including an attempt to break into the 1962 Italian Grand Prix—an effort that ultimately ended in a frustrating failure to qualify.
Tragically, Estéfano’s story came to an abrupt end on 21 October 1973 during a local race in Aimogasta, La Rioja. A mechanical failure struck as he attacked a high-speed curve, sending his car into a violent series of somersaults. A fault in his safety belts threw him from the cockpit, and he suffered fatal head injuries almost immediately.
