William Bruce Gordon Johnstone (30 January 1937 – 3 March 2022) was a South African racing driver whose brief spell at Formula One’s highest level came during the sport’s famously unforgiving early 1960s era. He made a single F1 World Championship Grand Prix appearance, racing on 29 December 1962. Although he left without scoring a championship point, Johnstone had already shown his pace elsewhere in Formula One machinery.
