French racing driver Auguste Georges Paul Grignard (25 July 1905 – 7 December 1977) competed during the formative years of post-war motorsport, active in Grand Prix racing between 1947 and 1953. Grignard made his sole World Championship appearance on 28 October 1951.
Although his World Championship career was brief, he was a familiar face in European racing, regularly competing in the era’s highly competitive non-Championship Formula One events. His finest achievement came in 1950, when he won the prestigious Paris Grand Prix, a result that cemented his place among France’s notable racing drivers of the period.
