Max de Terra

Max de Terra (6 October 1918 – 29 December 1982) was a Swiss racing driver who made a brief appearance in the Formula One World Championship during the early 1950s.

A member of Ecurie Espadon, de Terra took part in two World Championship Grands Prix, making his debut on 18 May at the 1952 Swiss Grand Prix.

His Formula One career was short, and he did not score any championship points, but his appearances came during the formative years of the World Championship, when private teams and independent entrants still played a major role in filling Grand Prix grids.

De Terra’s association with Ecurie Espadon placed him among a small group of Swiss drivers who competed at the highest level during Formula One’s earliest seasons.
