Pascal Fabre’s route towards Formula One began with recognition at the Winfield racing school and the 1978 Volant Elf award. Born on 9 January 1960, the Frenchman eventually reached the championship with AGS in 1987.
His first entry came in Brazil on 12 April 1987. He made fourteen entries that season, although not all led to starts. Ninth in France and Britain represented his best results, and he scored no points before Roberto Moreno replaced him for the closing races.
Fabre subsequently moved into sports cars, racing for Courage between 1988 and 1990 and making further appearances during the 1990s. The change kept his international career moving after a difficult season with one of F1’s smallest teams.
