Domenico Schiattarella

Domenico Luca “Mimmo” Schiattarella (born 17 November 1967) is an Italian racing driver whose career has taken him from Formula One to major sports-car championships on both sides of the Atlantic.

Schiattarella entered seven Formula One Grands Prix with Simtek, making his debut on 16 October 1994. His time at the top was brief and challenging, ending when the financially troubled team folded during the following season. Although he did not score a World Championship point, he achieved a best finish of ninth at the 1995 Argentine Grand Prix.

Formula One was only one chapter of Schiattarella’s racing life. He later competed in several CART races and built further experience in endurance machinery, appearing in both the Le Mans Series and the American Le Mans Series.
