Damien Magee is a British former racing driver from the Falls Road area of Belfast, Northern Ireland, who briefly reached Formula One during the mid-1970s.

Magee appeared at two Formula One World Championship weekends, although only one resulted in a race start. He made his Grand Prix debut on 8 June 1975 and scored no World Championship points.
Formula One
Magee’s opportunity came unexpectedly at the 1975 Swedish Grand Prix, when he was called up at short notice by Frank Williams Racing Cars to replace Arturo Merzario.
Despite the limited preparation, Magee successfully qualified for the race, giving him what would prove to be his only Formula One World Championship start.
A second opportunity followed in 1976.
This time Magee entered the French Grand Prix in a Brabham run by RAM Racing. He attempted to qualify for the race but failed to make the grid, bringing his brief Formula One story to an end.
Magee’s Grand Prix career therefore amounted to just two World Championship appearances and a single race start, but simply reaching Formula One made him one of the relatively small group of Northern Irish drivers to compete at the sport’s highest level.
