Jacobus “Jackie” Pretorius (22 November 1934 – 30 March 2009) was a South African racing driver who made four Formula One World Championship appearances. He debuted on 1 January 1965 but did not score a championship point.

Pretorius was more successful in South Africa’s domestic Formula One scene during the late 1960s and early 1970s. He won the 1967 Three Hours of Pietermaritzburg and, after competing in Lotus and Lola machinery, claimed two races with a Brabham in 1971.

Pretorius died in Johannesburg on 30 March 2009 at the age of 74 after spending three weeks in a coma following a burglary and attack at his home. His wife, Shirley, had been killed in a similar incident at the same property several years earlier.
