Larret Julian “Crash” Crockett (October 23, 1926 – March 20, 1955) was an American racing driver from Cambridge City, Indiana, whose promising national career lasted only a single season.

Crockett earned his colourful nickname through a habit of becoming involved in racing mishaps, but his 1954 results revealed genuine ability. He made ten Championship Car starts that year and placed fourth in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, which then counted towards the National Championship. He ended the season 11th in the standings.
His greatest achievement came at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Crockett qualified for his first Indianapolis 500 in 1954, finished an impressive ninth and was named Rookie of the Year.
That rapid progress was cut tragically short the following spring. On March 20, 1955, Crockett was killed in a racing accident at Langhorne Speedway in Pennsylvania. He was 28.
