Luigi Piotti was an Italian racing driver who competed in Formula One during the 1950s. Born in Milan, Piotti entered nine Formula One World Championship Grands Prix, making his debut on 22 January 1956. Although he did not score any championship points, he was a regular presence among the privateer entrants of the era.
Piotti was known for competing with his own privately run cars, often driving Maserati machinery, at a time when independent drivers were still able to enter alongside factory teams. His career reflected the spirit of early Formula One, when passionate amateurs could take on the sport’s leading professionals.
