Perez’s victory around the streets of Baku was the sixth Grand Prix win of his career and further cemented his reputation as a street‑circuit specialist, while Max Verstappen followed him home to complete another one–two for Red Bull and tighten their grip on both championships.
Charles Leclerc took pole position for Ferrari and converted it into a podium finish in third place, giving Ferrari a much‑needed strong result after a difficult start to the season.
Fastest lap belonged to George Russell, who set the quickest tour late in the race to secure an extra championship point for Mercedes, underlining the team’s improving race pace even if outright victory remained out of reach.
