Max Verstappen is a Formula One racing driver with Belgian and Dutch origins. His racing pedigree runs deep, as he is the son of former F1 driver Jos Verstappen and racing driver Sophie Kumpen.

Verstappen made his mark in the racing world from a young age, breaking numerous records in karting and single-seater categories, including KF3, KF2, KF1, KZ2, KZ1, and FIA European Formula 3.

At just 17, he became the youngest F1 driver at the 2015 Australian Grand Prix, having joined Scuderia Toro Rosso. Verstappen quickly made his mark on the sport in his debut season, and just a year later, he was promoted to the parent team, Red Bull Racing, replacing Daniil Kvyat.

At 18, he won the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix, becoming the youngest and first Dutchman to clinch a Formula One Grand Prix. Verstappen’s success continued, and by 2021, during an intense title battle with Lewis Hamilton, he won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and became the first Dutch driver to achieve the Formula One Drivers’ World Championship.

As of 2023, Verstappen has clinched the Formula One World Champion title three times, including in 2021, 2022, and 2023. With over 50 Grand Prix wins and 30 pole positions, Verstappen’s talent and skill on the racetrack are undeniable. He achieved his first career hat-trick in the 2021 French Grand Prix and his maiden grand slam at the 2021 Austrian Grand Prix. He mirrored these accomplishments in 2022 at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix and in 2023 at the Spanish and Qatar Grand Prix.

Verstappen’s talent has earned him a long-term contract with Red Bull Racing, confirming his alliance until at least 2028. Verstappen’s racing journey has been remarkable, and he is considered one of his generation’s best Formula One drivers. With his youth, talent, and skill on the racetrack, Verstappen is poised for continued success in the years to come.
