The 2023 Canadian Grand Prix was the 1,087th World Championship race, the 52nd World Championship Canadian Grand Prix, and the 42nd World Championship race held at Montreal.

Alfa Romeo made its 200th World Championship race start in Formula One, becoming the 18th constructor to reach that milestone. Yuki Tsunoda made the 50th World Championship start of his career, becoming the 145th driver to reach 50 starts and the sixth Japanese driver to do so.

Max Verstappen claimed his 41st World Championship victory and his 25th pole position, while Red Bull secured its 100th win and 88th pole in Formula One World Championship competition. Verstappen also recorded the 20th pole-to-win conversion of his career, making him the fifth driver to win 20 races from pole and the first Dutch driver to do so.

On the podium, Lewis Hamilton recorded the 194th podium finish of his career, Fernando Alonso his 104th, and Verstappen his 85th. It was also the 285th World Championship podium for Mercedes, the 246th for Red Bull, and the seventh for Aston Martin.

Sergio Perez set the fastest lap of the race, the 11th of his career and Red Bull’s 89th. Verstappen’s pole also marked his 48th front row start, while Alonso recorded the 42nd front row start of his Formula One World Championship career.
