The podium marked the 188th for Lewis Hamilton, the 70th for Max Verstappen, making him the eighth driver to score 70 World Championship podiums and the first Dutch driver to do so, and the sixth for George Russell. For constructors, it was the 274th and 275th World Championship podiums for Mercedes and the 222nd for Red Bull-RBPT.

George Russell secured the first pole position of his Formula 1 career, becoming the 105th different World Championship polesitter and the 19th British driver to start from pole. It was the 136th World Championship pole for Mercedes.

Lewis Hamilton set the 61st fastest lap of his Formula 1 career, and it was the 96th World Championship fastest lap for Mercedes.

On the front row, Carlos Sainz made his fifth start from the top two on the grid, while George Russell made his third.
